I’m SO sad that bootcamp is almost over. It has truely been a diet “game-changer” for me. Not only have I lost about 8 pounds (goal was about 10) but I am fitter, more toned and more importantly: confident.
This wasn’t just a diet or workout program. Oh no. It was much more than that. It was a journey to healthy and happy – equally focused on both.
The workouts: The workouts were awesome. I can honestly say I LOVED 95% of them. I got up each morning looking forward to gettin’ my sweat on. Coming from a cardio-equipment slave, this was a much welcomed change. They were fun, intense and I could see and feel the changes in my body. I’m so happy we will still have access to them, because I know that they will be repeated (again, and again and again!). My favorite- if your curious- were the pyramid style workouts. So. Much. Fun. And how could I forget about the Deck of Cards workouts? Love ‘em.
The nutrition plan: This needed a little tweaking. In the beginning I was on the 1400-1500 calorie plan, and then Candice and I changed it to 1200 because I was just maintaining with the first plan. I was a little hestitant about eating 1200 calories (because I severely restricted before)- but it’s working. And I’m not hungry. Win, win, win! I even managed to lose weight on vacation by not counting calories but by making healthier choices. I can’t tell you how excited I was when I stepped on the scale after a week of non-calorie counting, eating out, drinking, etc. It was my defining moment that this lifestyle will continue when bootcamp ends.
The guidance: Candice, Alicia and Robin are simply amazing. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve emailed Candice freaking out about the scale number or bugging her about nutrition questions and she quickly responded each time giving me the assurance and motivation I needed. She was my rock throughout this experience. I have learned so much about nutrition, hydration, my body and my mind throughout this experience. If it weren’t for Alicia’s fun workout plan and Robin’s focus on changing our thoughts- I know I wouldn’t have made as much progress as I did. Like I said, it was an experience. One that will not end with the bootcamp; it’s now my lifestyle.
The group: It was so awesome that we all got to do this together. I loved reading comments about the workouts, your progress and struggles- it was real. I realized I’m not alone. We are all focusing on high protein, working out and being postitive, so it was great to do it all together. I hope that you all enjoyed doing this together as much as I did!
I couldn’t be happier with the bootcamp. Not only did I LOVE all the products (I need more protein, soon! YUM) but I love the people and the company. You get WAY more than you pay for with this bootcamp, and I’m so thankful I found it on Janetha’s blog.
So what’s next? As my title mentions, the “new me” will not end here. I will still continue the workouts and nutrition plan until I reach my final goal. Fitmixer gave me the tools and knowledge to implement all I’ve learned into real life. I will be making healthier changes in my diet and exercise routine and I am still going to work on changing negative thoughts into postive ones.
THANK YOU Candice, Alicia, Robin & Whitney. You ladies are simply amazing!
PS- the picture is from a wedding where I bought a dress in a size much smaller than I normally wear. Can’t really see the dress, but I felt pretty confident, even though it was TIGHT!
