Final fitmixer Boot Camp Thoughts, by Tess H.

I cannot believe boot camp has already come to an end. The 8 weeks definitely flew by. I loved so many things about the boot camp. That’s why I have already signed up for the next round in January!

First, the fitmixer team was amazing to work with and so incredibly supportive to all the participants. Anytime I had a question, I knew I could contact them without hesitation. Candice would always check in with me to congratulate me on progress, she how I was liking my nutrition plan, etc. The program they have put together is top-notch to say the least. You can tell they wanted us to succeed and were invested in our success.

Secondly, I cannot brag enough on the boot camper community we created in a short 8 weeks. It was incredible to “get to know” other boot campers via Facebook, blogs, etc. In fact, a few of us are getting together this weekend to meet in real life. I loved the group of women who shared their struggles and successes with the group, helped me get through the hard times and celebrate the accomplishments.

Thirdly, I cannot sing the praises to the workouts for truly getting me out of my fitness rut and in turn, my fitness comfort zone. During the entire boot camp, I was training for my fourth marathon, the New York City Marathon. Thus, I fit in the boot camp workouts when I could. With 1 type of exercise as my primary focus (running), I had gotten myself into a fitness rut and was quickly losing a lot of my strength. The boot camp workouts definitely kicked my workouts to a new level and really challenged my body in new ways. They made fitness fun! Not only did I lose weight in the process, but I definitely gained strength. I am continuing to do the workouts and continuing to love them.

I am so sad that boot camp had ended but so excited for the next round!
